8 new neighbourhood arts commissions announced
The Bristol 2015 Neighbourhood Arts Team welcome proposals from artists and creatives for another 8 projects in Bristol neighbourhoods. Each commission is for £10,000. The deadline for proposals is 9am, 8th June, 2015.
From September 2014 until the end of May 2015, our Neighbourhood Arts Team have been consulting residents and community groups across Bristol to find out what a local art project might look like.
With the first 6 creative projects now up and running, it’s time to begin the second wave of commissions.
We’re delighted to put out a call for proposals and responses from Bristol artists, makers and creatives, to briefs for the following areas:
Filwood, Knowle and Windmill Hill
Henleaze, Stoke Bishop and Westbury-on-Trym
Stockwood, Hengrove and Whitchurch
As with our first six creative briefs, each area is calling for something different. Avonmouth & Kingsweston are seeking to recycle local folklore, Filwood, Knowle and Windmill Hill are encouraging active playspaces, whilst Greater Brislington are looking to reactivate St Anne’s Wood for local residents and families.
Commissions are open to all Bristol creatives. £10,000 which includes all fees, materials and expenses.
Want to know more?
We’ll be hosting another Creative Drop-in session on Tuesday 12th May between 5pm and 7.30pm. This is an opportunity to talk directly to the Neighbourhood Arts Team and local advisers, and mingle with other creatives. Come along to find out more.
If you’re interested in responding to a brief but can’t make this date, please don’t hesitate to get in touch via nap@bristol2015.co.uk. The NAP Team are happy to answer any questions.
