Bite Size Session: Re-engineering New House Designs to Passivhaus

Peter Ranken, Dip Arch MSc RIBA, architect at Tooley Foster architects and Certified Passivhaus Designer will guide delegates through the process of taking an average house and, using passivhaus strategies, try their hands at turning the schemes into near to passivhaus standards. This will be a very interactive session with lots of opportunities to debate the pros and cons of this very high standard of building.

Peter will also present some findings of EU monitoring of early completed Passivhaus dwellings, key targets and design issues.

What did delegates say about previous Bite Size sessions?

“The micro session idea is brilliant as full days can be very, very difficult”

“Excellent coverage for both established Green Register members and novices”

“Informed recommendations and some myths debunked”

“Lots of stuff I didn’t know! Enjoyed the interactive format”
