Bristol Nordic Walking
Nordic walking is one of the fastest growing fitness activities in the world and is outdoors, fun and green! It originates from cross-country skiing and uses specially designed poles which turns a walk into a total body workout.
You’ll use up to 50% more calories than ordinary walking, strengthen your core (including your back) and get that vital vitamin D for healthy bones. Our walkers are a fantastically friendly bunch who welcome beginners with open arms, so book onto one of our Beginner Workshops through our website and we’ll teach you the proper Nordic technique. From there you’ll be able to join any of walks and our qualified instructors will help you to keep improving your technique in every session.
Bristol Nordic Walking runs hour-long fitness walks every day in Bristol in beautiful places like Ashton Court, Clifton Downs and Blaise Estate. We also run longer walks and courses. Who needs a gym when you can use sunlight and fresh air instead! We are encouraging our walkers to use ‘foot power’ wherever possible, use lift shares and enjoy the amazing parks and scenery that Bristol has to offer. Which is a lot!
